Poker Face Christmas

Wow, I can't believe it's been three months since I've written! Please

follow along as we begin a new year... Welcome back followers and

newcomers;) Glad you are here!

I left off this last Fall, with the previous evening celebrating my sister's

birthday! Since then we've had Thanksgiving, my sixth trip to Hamburg,

Christmas and just recently my 73rd birthday! My husband says I have

a birthday month, not just a day! So true, and very thankful...

I did fly to Hamburg after a quiet Thanksgiving with our sister in law!

Not only did I pack my big suitcase, and backpack, but also a BIG

SECRET! Only our four adult kids and their spouses knew! Hence,

this is why I'm calling this blog a Poker Face Christmas!

So I returned from Hamburg on December 17th, then little did Grandpa

Larry/ Dad know, that Haley, Ken, Finny, Henry and Mariko would arrive

in just two more days! The 19th to be exact! The plan came off w/o a

hitch! Larry commented that he couldn't believe how we could all display

such poker faces in keeping this secret!

The rest of the kids/spouses followed suit after Christmas! All thirteen of us

congregated around the tree for a New Year photo! We missed Kate!

So very grateful!

Next, my birthday! As I continue my 73rd year, I decided to assemble a soul

collage/ vision board. Here I cut and paste pictures and words that align with

my new aspirations, hopes and dreams. The words I have chosen are Travel,

New Year, Journeys, Be Grateful, Pilgrimages For The Soul, and Self Kindness.

All with accompanying pictures!

We are also very excited to welcome two more grand babies this Spring and

Summer! God is good! Our family is growing! We are blessed;)
