God Winks!

Welcome Spring! To my followers and newcomers! Thank you for joining me!

I'm back, and gratefully so! This Grandma attended two birthday parties:) One in California; the other across the sea in Germany! First, our second grandson's 2nd birthday; and then our first grandson's 5th! Smiles, family, good food, gifts, and birthday cakes!

As you know, I have been so fortunate to travel abroad! This was my 5th trip, and the first to travel first to California:) Still so grateful for the ride from our son and family, to LAX to board the flight to London, then Hamburg! Kudos to British Air!

Years ago I was given a book on God Winks! On my Christian walk, I experience blessings, coincidences and lessons! However, I wasn't familiar with the word God Winks, and have learned since these are commonplace! Lately, and previous on my trip, four have brightened my day and kept me open for more!

• The first: Prior to arriving in London, there was a strike! For flights to Hamburg! In fact, our daughter in Germany, had already re-routed me to London to stay with our niece.

  However, a God Wink happened in that flights to Munich and Berlin still remained cancelled, but not Hamburg, my final destination! God is good!

• The second: our daughter in Hamburg received a library book written by a local Bainbridge Island author, whose photograph on the back inside cover was taken by my brother, Paul Storey. Both, now deceased...It's a small world...

• The third: On our getaway train trip to Copenhagen, Haley and I discovered through a bus tour and later walking through town, the DIS school our eldest daughter attended in college! We were pleasantly surprised to find both the dormitories and classrooms!

  Even a royal tour by a friendly employee! God is good!

• The fourth: Just happened yesterday! Saddened by the news of our Holy Father Pope Francis's death, I found a cut out magazine picture of him and in the background, the Virgin Mary. Under my kitchen table where my sister in law and I had created soul collages on Easter! It's a real God Wink and mystery to where it came from? It's now gracing our fridge;)

  
  

My wish for you is to experience these on your walks, and realize how God shows up! Be open, grateful and blessed!
